BRWNGRLZ x Hella Pinay Capsule collection
Fall/Winter’21 collaboration with BRWNGRLZ, a handmade jewelry company for women of color by women of color. Celebrating Hella Pinay Issue 02 'Interconnected', this mini capsule collection explores the rigid ‘naughty/nice’ dichotomies placed on Filipina/o/x women and femmes.
Etched on the earrings are the words Maawain (merciful), Maldita (bad girl), Salbahe (rude), and Mabait (kind). Pieces are named after my mother, Maria Dolores (Lolita) and my grandma (Mercedes).
